Laboratory
High quality slides are produced using the latest equipment from Leica and Milestone. We were the first installation of the Leica Spectra Stainer in Colorado with precision agitation to ensure even reagent distribution. Our Leica Bond Max allows for precise and timely immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining as well as multi-plexing of antibody combinations. All special stains and IHC antibody staining has been validated and verified independently for exceptional quality.
Dermatopathologists
Dr. Jonathan Epperson is a Board Certified Dermatopathologist with additional Board certifications in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He has more than ten years of experience signing out complex surgical pathology and dermatology cases with interests in adnexal tumors, melanoma, and alopecia.
Dr. Epperson graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (Bradenton, FL). He completed his Pathology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio TX and completed dermatopathology fellowship training at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland OH.
Dr. Epperson was awarded several military awards for academic and professional achievement during residency and practice. He is an active member of the American Society of Dermatopathology with publications in esteemed journals and presentations in annual conferences.
Outside of his office, Dr. Epperson is also a reasonably adequate skier and private pilot.
