High quality slides are produced using the latest equipment from Leica and Milestone. We were the first installation of the Leica Spectra Stainer in Colorado with precision agitation to ensure even reagent distribution. Our Leica Bond Max allows for precise and timely immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining as well as multi-plexing of antibody combinations. All special stains and IHC antibody staining has been validated and verified independently for exceptional quality.

Dermatopathology, is a joint subspecialty of dermatology and pathology that focuses on the study of cutaneous diseases at a microscopic and molecular level. A dermatopathologist, like Dr. De Stefano, is a highly trained physician who specializes in diagnosing disorders of the skin, hair, and nails under a microscope. When a skin biopsy is needed, doctors specialized in dermatopathology work closely with dermatology providers to narrow down the potential causes of skin disorders, such as a rash, alopecia, or to determine the malignant potential of a tumor. With that information, dermatology providers can determine the best treatment approach for their patient.
Dr. De Stefano was born and raised in Brazil but has spent here last 15 years in the United States and the last 2 years in Colorado, the state she quickly learned to call it home. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her 3 dogs, exploring all that the Rocky Mountains have to offer. She also enjoys pencil drawing, painting, and gardening.
